A fantastic neon paint experience — so much fun! My boyfriend and I visited Venture Games in Ilfracombe on 22nd October for their 40-minute Neon UV Paint experience, and we had an absolutely fantastic time! We had our own space to get creative, painting both a canvas and the walls using a variety of equipment. There were different paintbrushes, sponges and even water paint guns to experiment with, which made the whole experience even more entertaining! We loved discovering different ways to use everything and getting creative with our artwork. Although we didn’t actually have a paint fight with each other, we still had so much fun and were laughing and enjoying ourselves throughout. It’s definitely an experience we’d happily do again! One lovely touch was being asked whether we had any music preferences. Naturally, I requested some old-school Clubland classics, which made the experience even better! The room was a really reasonable size for the two of us, with plenty of space to move around and get creative. I could also easily imagine a family or group of friends having an absolute blast in there, especially if they wanted to have a proper paint fight! A little tip for anyone planning to visit: Definitely wear older clothes that you wouldn’t mind getting paint on, particularly if you’re planning to paint each other! 🤣 Protective clothing (PPE) is provided, which is great, but I wouldn’t rely on coming out completely paint-free underneath! The experience cost £36 per adult, and we felt it was a really enjoyable and memorable activity for the money. We also got to take our painted canvas home with us, which was a fantastic little keepsake from our holiday! Overall, this was such a fun, unique experience and something a little different from the usual holiday activities. Whether you’re visiting as a couple, with friends or as a family, I’d definitely recommend giving it a go. Great experience and extremely funny, brings out your inner child again. We laughed and enjoyed ourselves from start to finish. Highly recommend, you dont have to be creative you can literally just go and throw paint at each other! Excellent for letting your hair down!Posted on Tripadvisor

Chris Johnson45 days agoFab family fun - we came as a family of five (including 13, 10 and 8 year old Boys) and had a great bonding experience doing the Listening Station Escape room. The owner was brilliant, got the boys really revved up, and lulled me into a false sense of security of thinking that we'd smash it - it was fiendishly well designed, very clever and intricate, and we came together as a team to really enjoy it. Can't say any more without spoiling it, but great value for money and family bonding session that we will be back to enjoy next time the puzzles change!Posted on Tripadvisor

I will not give anything away but Lou was really helpful and welcomed us. Did suggest she came in with us to help. Thank you for your help and glad we could surprise you. Baljit Chauhan61 days agoWe had a great time as a family of four. Even though my children are 18 and 16, it would be suitable for younger ones too. We managed to get out with a bit of help and with 17 seconds to spare. The game is set up well and not too easy or too hard. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Sharon B67 days agoNeon splatter (neuro divergent)⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I booked the neon splatter experience for my granddaughters aged 13-23 as a surprise and they absolutely loved it!! Great fun! Cathy was great, friendly, informative and encouraged us to all have fun whilst in Splatter Mania. We all walked out with 6 wonderful canvas and 40 minutes of pure laughter together. Would highly recommend as a family or group activity.Posted on Tripadvisor
Claire K71 days agoExcellent Escape room We booked the escape room whilst on holiday in North Devon. Cathy was the most wonderful host and very enthusiastic and helpful when we needed a little hint or five! The room was quite tricky but as it was the first time my kids of 18,15 and 11 experienced an escape room together we still managed to save Great Britain ! Kids really enjoyed it , great fun and definitely recommend. Loved the photos of us all dressed up to too- definitely a very memorable experience. Thank you .Posted on Google
SEB Neylon71 days agoMy first time at an Escape Room, which I wasn’t keen to go to as I’m quite claustrophobic but my family dragged me along and when we got there Cathy, the host, reassured me that we were not locked in and I could ‘escape’ anytime I wanted ☺️ it was me, my hubby and 3 grown up children all of whom had done previous escape rooms. On arrival we was met by Marcus who was very warm and welcoming and also informative regarding our challenge that he had for us. We would highly recommend this experience and it’s definitely an activity people just think to do when in the area. Matt Thomas81 days agoHighly recommended....Me my wife and son thought we would try out an escape room while on our hols and what a great experience it was. We played the WW2 Listening station escape room. Cathy the host/owner was great at explaining everything prior and was on hand if needed during the session. The escape room puzzels and the whole room were so well thought out. All the family enjoyed it and now we're looking at booking into escape rooms local to home 🤣 Thanks Cathy 👍Posted on Google
L Jones84 days agoAn excellent escape room and host. You can choose your challenge level in advance (we went for difficult!) so there is flexibility for different levels of experience. The puzzles were challenging but rewarding , and the whole thing flowed in a logical way. The debrief afterwards was particularly good - better than in other escape rooms I've tried - and added to the whole experience.Posted on Tripadvisor
L J85 days agoExcellent escape room An excellent escape room with a brilliant host. You can choose your difficulty level to suit your experience (we went for more challenging). The puzzles were varied and challenging and the whole thing flowed well. You should definitely try this escape room if you are in the Ilfracombe area - we loved it.
